Hi friends and family!
Yesterday was a great day for the Robinson clan! As you can see from previous blogs, Zach has become obsessed with running! So far he has finished several 10k races, one half marathon, and is training for two marathons in two weeks next spring. The first marathon will be the Salt Lake Marathon in April and then two weeks later, the Vancouver Marathon in May. The Vancouver Marathon is really special to us because daddy has actually decided to use his new obsession for a good cause and will be racing with Team in Training. Team in Training is the largest fundraising source for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society...this is a organization that is near and dear to my heart because they use monies to support people battling blood cancers... people that I work with everyday at Huntsman Cancer Institute. Zach must raise $4,000 to participate in this race and 75% of that money will go to research and patient support programs offered by the LLS. Good luck daddy!!!
On a lighter note, since Zach has become obsessed with running, its been contagious and I actually started training to run a 5k...I know, I know, who trains to run three miles? Well, say that to the person who can't run one! Anyway, yesterday all my training was put to the test in the Sandy City Turkey Trot and I RAN the entire race! Zach and Hannah were running right next to me, as my coaches and cheerleaders, and it was such an amazing experience to start and finish the race together!
