Look What I Can Do Now!!!

So the past week has been a very eventful one in the life of the little peanut! So much has happened in the last two weeks that there has been no time for blogging because every second spent away from Hannah is a second that she is probably doing something new! Here are a few things that happened in the peanut's life this week...

GObama!
Hannah voted early this week and it was such a great experience. She went to the polls with mommy and daddy and left her print on the most important and historical election of our time! Of course, the moment was appropriately memorexed!







First Pumpkin Carving
Tonight we bought a pumpkin for Halloween and daddy helped Hannah carve her first Jack o' Lantern. We of course gave the Jack o' Lantern two bottom teeth, just like Hannah! Hannah hates the pumpkin guts, but she loves how his face glows in the dark!







The Brightest Peanut in the Patch

So today I was reading about milestones online (babycenter.com) and read that advanced babies can crawl, stand while holding onto something, they notice voice inflections and their meanings, and wave goodbye at seven months old...Guess what? Hannah can do all of these things and she was doing them before she turned seven months old on Friday! Seriously, we came home one day and she could crawl (she is so mobile and mommy is constantly chasing her around yelling "NO!"), she knows when mommy says "NO!" in her "stern voice" that she is not supposed to do that (then she begins to cry, which is so sweet), she was waving goodbye, and she no longer wants to just sit, she uses everything in the house to help her stand up (this was a problem in the crib and we had to lower it all the way down so she didn't stand up and fall out!). I don't mean to brag about our clever little baby, but I can't help it, I think we have a future lil einstein on our hands here! I definitely think she gets it from her mommy!

Most of Hannah's milestones are captured on video camera or photographs, but I used our digital camera to capture her crawling to share with everyone, but for some reason I can't get the video to upload! I promise to keep trying!

So its been a crazy week in the Robinson household! Everyday holds a new surprise, but if possible, each day is better then the last!

We Love You Grandpa Robinson

The world lost an incredible man today. Grandpa Robinson passed away late tonight after a wonderful life of 86 years, sixty of which he spent married to the love of his life, Grandma Robinson. Lucky for us, the last few months of his life, he got to meet, play, and fall in love with his first great grandchild, Hannah. Hannah was incredibly fascinated by Grandpa Robinson and would just stare intently at him as if they were communicating through a special language and no words were needed. Hannah was able to spend seven fantastic months with Grandpa Robinson and was lucky enough to spend some of his last hours in this world at his bedside. Hannah showed him how she makes a "TOUCHDOWN" and we were able to see him smile and wave at his great grand baby, even through all the pain. Hannah will always love and remember her Grandpa Robinson, a man of few words but a heart full with love.
Grandpa Robinson, we know you are in a better place now, but we miss you so much already. We promise to love and take good care of Grandma Robinson until she can be with you again. Thank you for everything. We love you so much.

New Nanny

So its been a crazy couple of weeks for the Robinson clan, but hopefully things are going to be calming down now! We are really excited because we hired a new nanny late last week and she starts next week. She has seven years of experience, she is fun, happy, centered, and really good with Hannah. We are so excited to have her join our little family! Interviewing nannies...what an experience! We had some not so good candidates...I can't even describe how bad... and a couple girls we really liked. Trying to pick the person that you are going to trust to care for the most precious thing in your life is not an easy task and asking some of the tough questions was really hard for me (i.e. do you have a criminal background, what is your driving record, have you ever abused a child, etc...how do you ask a stranger that, let alone your best friend!). Anyway, I think we found a good match in Elizabeth and I am hoping that this will be a good fit! Thanks to everyone for your support and help watching Hannah through this stressful time.

Also, Hannah had her six month check up last week. Dr. Katie says Hannah is very advanced, since she is trying to crawl (she actually army crawls around the house, which is really funny), sits up on her own, and has two teeth. After she was praised for being the smartest baby on the block, she got her shots. Mommy hates that! She cried like she has never cried before and it breaks mommy and daddy's hearts to watch her go through this wretched pain...Never fear, two minutes later, she is laughing and charming the receptionist... Thank God her memory is not fully developed yet and she has totally forgotten the entire experience before we reach Zach's truck!
